Possible New Green Parakeet

Ever since my blue female parakeet who passed away about 10 years ago, her name was Juniper; because she was named after my cousun June who live down in Florida.

My new green male parakeet that I might get, I was planning on naming him Freddy, because he will be a great dedication to Ozark Airlines in rememorence to an old friend of mine who had passed away back in May of 2009.

Freddy would be such a confort to me, because lately I've been thinking about my old friend named Mike Verban, as he would fly home to Quincy IL on Ozark Airlines as he would go home on visiting weekend once a month from Little City, which it located out in Palatine IL.

Also, I might add a blue female parakeet named Juniper #2 to replace my first Juniper. The two parakeets would keep each other company, while we're not home during the daytime.

It would not be until the spring time until I get the Parakeets, because the weather has to be warm in order to transport them from the pet shop to bring them home to my apartment...

The Glory Days of Ozark Airlines

Whenever, I think of Ozark Airlines or even Airtran Airlines, I often think of my old buddy who’d used to live at Little City Foundation out in Palatine IL. He’d used to fly home on Ozark Airlines when he went to visit his family on visiting weekends which was once a month for all of us who used to lived out at Little City.

Although, I had never flew on neither on Ozark Airlines or even Airtran Airlines, but man alive! I bet it was wonderful just to fly on Ozark Airlines, where people treat you right! Not like a bunch of sour pusses where today’s airline flight attendants are grouchy and snippy towards us ticket holders of where they show very little respect towards us.

My old friend who is Michael Verban, he used to lived at home with his parents attended the special education program at Lincoln Community High School until age 13 when he went to live at Little City Foundation in Palatine, Illinois. While living at Little City he was very active in Special Olympics. In addition, he had partnership of being co-owner of his own airlines called: Ozark Airlines, in which he would often fly home on a family visit during visiting weekends from Little City on, a once a monthly basis. Mike would fly out of O’Hare Airport and flew back again; this was during the 1970s throughout the mid 1980s when Ozark went out of business.

Mike Verban was also selected by Jack Brickhouse to throw out the first pitch at Wrigley Field in honor of his retirement from the Chicago Cubs.

In May 2007 he was truly blessed to move to Briarwood Court, Quincy, Illinois where he has enjoyed spending time with his family. He attended workshop at Transitions Western Illinois. He was an avid cub fan and enjoyed auto racing especially Dale Earnhardt, Jr.

Michael enjoyed the simple things in life especially the love of his family being the dearest to him. The highlight of his day was spending time with Jason, Emily, Hannah, and Martin. He had a remarkable gift of touching the hearts of everyone he met. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

If anyone has a Ozark Airline memory like to share, please post a comment down below…

Kansas City MO. The Big Show On July 4th 2010

It's only five months away! and I am getting ready for the big one, over in Kansas City MO. on Sunday July 4th 2010. I will be performing live on a pondtoon boat parade, as i will be singing and playing in front of the judges as they be judging the winners for the Kansas City Pontoon Boat Parade In KCMO.

I will be spending 4 glorious beautiful days out in
Kansas City MO with my good old buddy out in his lake house, his name is Russell Cooper. He is the Sales Director of FedEx. Russell and I have been friends for about 15 years.

All in all, Kansas City MO is a great get away vacation spot just to get away from the stubid society life of Chicago, of where most of the people in the big city it self are mostly all stuck-ups!And most of them are usually in a rotten mood all of the time, never enjoy life and they are NOT happy at all. People in Chicago are like a bunch of Archie Bunkers on every street corner.

People and society need to be in a happier mood, rather than instead of eating at each other throats and getting into fights all of the time. I wish that there was no such thing as violences nor even crimes, because everyone is hurting each other instead of having Peace, Love, and Joy in our hearts. We need to love one another and let us show love in our hearts. Now! If we can do that, the city of Chicago would be a much happier place to live! And maybe Chicago would be a great vacation spot for tourist and enjoy the great spring and summer in the sun!!!...

More updates are still to come...
